Funny! I was laughing extra hard because Hanna drew pictures of me and Ryan “mean”. She also put ages by the pictures, “Shea, age 46, mad. Ryan, age 50, mean.” I didn’t even have a yelling jag before church because I couldn’t find a child’s cardigan. I thought it was a good Sunday.

That’s hilarious! And it’s such the perception. The other day, when my 18 month old son started crying over something that “scared” him, my mom said, “Buddy, about the only thing you need to be afraid of is possibly your mom.” Thanks a lot, huh.

As a dad I say: “So true”
Usually Jane is interspersed among her own comments carrying on a conversation (and upping her comment count/ego feeder
) – I’m concerned she is avoiding this one because it really did hurt (or because of the TAIL!)
Does Dick really walk with his hands like that?

Well, you(?) do look very tan and very slim. I don’t know if that makes up for the tail(?), though . . . .

A picture is worth a thousand words. I got a good chuckle out of that picture, but don’t feel bad, I definately feel like today was one of those days in which I was the “Momster.”

Eric — You got me. I am tres, tres hurt.
Actually, I feel kinda guilty about this one, because the truth is that We (I) accidentally returned Sally’s original drawing to the library inside a library book. I TOLD Dick we don’t take library books to church, but since we’re moving, they were easy to get to as we rushed out the door.
Anyhoo, when I realized her originals were gone, I hassled her about re-creating them, and if you know anything about art, you know it’s IMPOSSIBLE for an artiste to duplicate her work. Sally is not some sad Thomas Kincade-hack, after all.
I rejected quite a few renditions before settling on this one, and while it is stunning, it’s just not quite the same as her first effort.

Oh my gosh! This is so funny! I can’t even stand it! You are hilarious!

I think she meant that daddy was “Nike” Daddy, and that means he must exercise. A lot. Like so much, that she thinks he belongs to the folks at Nike, and not to her.
Besides, I’d rather be a monster any day. A little healthy dose of fear is a good thing, right?
